Part of our vision is to eliminate the masses of waste created by deliveries. To do this we will encourage the use of reusable packaging units for delivery MDB deliveries. Ultimately these units will be made from sustainable materials, however we also see this as a fantastic opportunity to make a sustainable use of the unsustainable materials currently in existence throughout our world, In turn, this will prevent those harmful materials becoming present in the natural world.

The very nature of the MDB delivery service allows people and businesses to send as well as receive things from their address via their MDB product. At MDB we believe that the capability of sending things from our products is not limited to just products, but returning packaging also.

Our couriers are able to collect used packaging units from MDB products, whilst on their route. As courier journeys naturally start/finish at a delivery depot, they can simply unload the collected re-usable packaging units right to where they need to be for onward distribution to packaging facilities, for direct re-use.

Our Packaging for Life Initiative (PFLi) is a great opportunity to reduce widespread  material waste and recycling emissions. In parallel with the vision to build a waste free world, our PLFi can also help to Protect and Restore Nature by drastically reducing the need for deforestation practices to fulfill the growing demand for packaging.

Although the PFLi is primarily focused on Building a Waste Free World, it has many other parallel benefits that can contribute in our global efforts for sustainability:

Protect and Restore Nature - by reducing excessive waste and reducing the need for deforestation, the PFLi can help to protect nature from harmful materials, whilst also helping to restore nature by curbing the requirement for deforestation.

Clean Our Air - by reducing the need for deforestation, the PFLi can help us to clean our air by allowing our forests to grow and accelerate levels of photosynthesis to help neutralise the affects caused by greenhouse gases.

Fix Our Climate - by reducing carbon emissions through a reduced need for recycling transport and processing. The holistic benefits of the PFLi can help to reduce the end-to-end greenhouse gases generated by delivery and packaging processes, whilst promoting the functions of nature, allowing us to work together harmoniously for a more sustainable future and  provide a reliable climate for future generations.
